Years ago as I was debating about a new email address I was trying to find something that gave a glimpse into my heart. I want to inspire, to challenge and to point to a higher truth. As I pondered this I realised that I was making it possible for other people to do just that, then I read Isaiah 54:2
"Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations:
spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;"
Then it struck me, everyone looks a the tent, and takes shelter under its folds. The tent pole is strong, and holds everything up. But f you looks closer you see that what really holds everything up is in fact the humble tent peg. Without a strong and secure tent peg it will all come crashing down.
We tend to focus on the outside, the flashy, however what is often more important is the unseen, the humble, the unglamorous that is key to holding everything in its place. It is the humble tent peg that gives the tent it usefulness and glory.
